It's time for Decembers First Friday Gallery Walk, this Friday, beginning at 5:00p.m. It's Holiday shopping time, and at The Venue, in addition to our normal selection of great gift items, we are featuring the fine jewelry of Jill Dunn and paintings from our most outstanding artists for 2019, Daniel Lager, Dawn Adams, Mark Blaney, and Patricia Rhoden Bartels.
Jill Dunn grew up in the Detroit area and the influence of her heritage and culture exposed her to Holocaust survivors and WWII veterans. Jill’s work reflects textures of the visions of the past with the influence of the Expressionism and Impressionism.
Jill’s family has a great impact on her as her four children and husband are supporters and occasionally provide valuable input. he daily influences of the news, our surroundings, the love of trees and plants and color, all inform her creations.
Jill is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BA and a MA.
Jill has recently been honored by being juried into the Indiana Artisans. Jill's great jewelry is crafted by her from silver, brass and cooper.
In addition to Jill, for the Holiday Season, The Venue will feature a showing of new paintings from the artists who had the greatest impact during 2019. Daniel Lager lead in sales, Dawn Adams and Patricia Rhoden Bartels both had their fine paintings selected for the new Indiana University Hospital in Bloomington, and Mark Blaney just continues to produce great art.
This selection will be the cream of this year's crop, and a great addition to any wall in your home.
