Help plant this year's crop of sweet potatoes at the Hoosier Hills Food Bank Gardens at Will Detmer Park. HHFB has 1000 sweet potato slips that volunteers will help plant in the garden between 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Friday, June 11. Sweet potatoes harvested in the fall will be shared for distribution with over 100 member food distribution agencies across 6 counties. No gardening experience is required. Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you’re willing to get dirty. The workday will continue until all the slips have been planted, hopefully by noon or 1 pm. Teens are welcome!
