Mayor Kerry Thomson will take the stage for Bloomington’s 2026 State of the City, an evening dedicated to where we’ve been, where we’re headed, and how we move forward together.
This free, public event invites residents, businesses, and community partners to gather downtown for a shared look at Bloomington’s progress and priorities. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a reception to connect with neighbors and city leadership.
This year’s State of the City will spotlight the big-picture work shaping Bloomington right now—from housing and public safety to economic vitality, infrastructure, transparency, and long-term financial stewardship. Mayor Thomson will reflect on milestones from the past year and outline the path ahead for a city that continues to serve with intention, creativity, and care.
Can’t attend in person? The event will be livestreamed and available for later viewing through Community Access Television Services (CATS) on local cable and at catstv.net.
We hope you’ll join us.
