We close our Black History Month programming with a screening of Finally Got the News... as tribute to the official theme this year, “African Americans and Labor.” The documentary follows the League of Revolutionary Black Workers in the late 1960s. Please join us in the Franklin Hall Commons for a reception, then upstairs in the Screening Room for the film screening and a discussion with Cole Nelson, Media School PhD student and editor of the close-up on the film, published in Black Camera Spring 2024. Special thanks to our collaborators, Black Camera: An International Film Journal, and the Center for Documentary Research & Practice.
