Bloomington High School North (BHSN) will host 50 high school and middle school big bands and jazz combos for a weekend of public concerts and clinics at the 39th annual Bloomington Jazz Festival on December 9-10. This year the featured guest is the Indiana University Jazz Ensemble #1, directed by Brent Wallarab. Festival events begin Friday, December 9 with groups performing from 4:30 to 10 p.m. in the BHSN Auditorium and Choral room. Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., another full schedule of big band and combo performances will take place. The Finale Concert, featuring the Indiana University Jazz Ensemble #1 under the direction of Brent Wallarab will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the auditorium. All events are open to the public and tickets ($5 Adults; $2 Students/Seniors) can be purchased on site.
