Join us in honoring Indiana’s Indigenous past, present, and future through a meaningful and collaborative exhibition coming soon to the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
Developed in partnership with Native American descendants of Angel Mounds, “City on the River” tells the stories of Indiana’s Indigenous peoples through archaeology, personal narratives, contemporary art, and an immersive virtual reality experience.
Come see “City on the River” when it opens May 31, 2025!
We will celebrate the opening of City on the River with tours of the new exhibition, talks from featured Indigenous artists, a Three Sisters seed give-away, and information on finding native plants in Bloomington.
Light refreshments will be served, and the first 80 visitors will receive a $5 voucher to Bloomington’s favorite hot dog cart, Betty’s Hot Dog, who will be on site selling delicious hot dogs, brats, and more!
This event is free and open to all.
