Recognizing the urgency of reducing our energy footprint, the Fair will provide everything a household needs to take simple high-impact measures to deeply reduce its energy footprint - by 35%.
Nine “energy” stations will be available for you to talk to experts about actions that can most greatly reduce your energy footprint. The fair will provide information, tools and resources to make positive community action easy.
Prizes, food, and music by nationally-known folk singers Cindy Kallett and Grey Larsen will liven up the atmosphere, and free childcare will be provided for ages 1-10. Special programming by and for youth will focus on learning new energy saving practices and brainstorming their larger impact.
By serving our neighbors, our children, and this gift of the earth, participating in the fair will help create and serve as a model of Dr. King’s “beloved community”.
