Calling all animal lovers! Learn about different fun and exotic animals through crafts, games, and other fun activities. Attendees can even earn an honorary Zookeeper status when they attend multiple events in this mini-series. The Community Zoo by You events take place outdoors at Switchyard Park, in the picnic area near the Pavilion. Volunteers 16 yrs+ are needed to help with set-up and teardown, as well as assist children in creating their crafts. Shifts run from 3–6pm for these remaining series dates; Aug. 8, Sep. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14, and Dec. 12. On-site training is provided. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have an Underage Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian and must bring it with them when they arrive for their shift.
