Come see the farm animals outside on the front lawn at First Presbyterian Church, at the corner of 6th & Lincoln - a short walk from campus. Find out why the members and friends of First Presbyterian have been hosting farm animals at the church one Sunday each fall for the past 35 years! And, why not enjoy some free coffee, hot cocoa, and face painting while you are here? Everyone is welcome! Learn about Heifer International, a global non-profit organization working to alleviate hunger and poverty by providing animals, as well as bees, tree seedlings, and more, to families in need here and around the world. We call our event Heifer Market (heifer being a young female cow) and we hope to have not only a heifer, but bunnies, chickens, pigs, and maybe even a donkey! It is an alternative gift market that provides shoppers the opportunity to buy gifts or "shares" of animals in honor of friends and family members. Come see the animals!
