BCT’s 2nd annual Godzilla Weekend is showcasing this giant moth that attacks the whole world with fury!
Join us for the first night for MOTHRA (1961) Presented by The East Asian Studies Center, The Media School, Tattoo Kaiju, and Buskirk-Chumley Theater.
This evening includes:
*** Pre film introduction from Godzilla scholar, and festival organizer Beth Bredlau
*** Video from mayor reading proclamation
*** Post film panel with film scholar and Matt Rice from BIFF
*** Merchandise for Godzilla Weekend, from Badknees
*** A live performance my Madam McVillian on the 12th
*** Artist Matt Frank will be there, selling Merchandise and meeting fans
This is the first film featuring Mothra! A story in which a corrupted businessman kidnaps tiny twin priestesses on the radiated Infant Island to exploit them for profit. This angers the island’s guardian goddess named Mothra, who awakens and goes in search for the kidnapped twins, threatening to leave a wake of destruction along the way.
