2150 East Dolan Road
Public festivities to celebrate the Grand Opening of Gaden KhachoeShing Buddhist Monastery in Bloomington will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, on monastery grounds at 2150 East Dolan Road. Members of the local community are invited to help celebrate this auspicious event, along with resident and visiting monks, nuns and lay students from around the United States and the world.
The opening will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 pm (registration starts at 1), followed at 5:30 pm by an international banquet, and at 7:30 pm by a multi-cultural concert featuring artists from Tibet, Mongolia, Nepal and the USA. All events are free.
