Following distractions obstructs our ability to connect with our inner peace. By cultivating and maintaining mindfulness we can train to prevent distractions and focus our attention in a beneficial and meaningful way. However, we first need to know what causes our distractions so that we can recognize them and then apply opponents to reduce them through mindfulness and alertness — we do this through meditation formally and then in the meditation break, daily life. Through controlling our mind, we will connect to more authentic and deeper levels of mental peace and stability. You can to register for the talk online or in person at KMC Bloomington. Everyone is welcome to come to this retreat; no meditation experience is necessary.
