Kick-off Workshop for NaPOWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month): Cost: $55 for two-part series or $30/ per class. When: Saturday, March 30th 1:00pm-4:00 pm National Poetry Writing Month invites participants to write a poem a day to selected prompts. In preparation for a marathon of poetry writing, we’ll roll up our sleeves and start generating verse. In this workshop we’ll explore several familiar and not so familiar poetry forms. We’ll discuss rhyme and meter, metaphor, and character in poetry. We’ll introduce participants to NaPOWriMo events and ways to participate (or observe) in the month-long challenge. Together, we’ll launch the joy and beauty of poetry. Think you’re not a poet? This workshop welcomes writers of all abilities. Celebration Workshop for NaPOWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month): When: Monday Evening, April 29, 2019 7:00-9:00 pm Did you write some great poetry? Read some inspiring poetry? Did you write one poem? None, but observed with appreciation? No matter your level of participation, join us to close the challenge. We’ll come together with our poems, discuss the gifts and challenges, and write together in celebration of our poetic endeavors.
