ABOUT

This event focuses on bringing expertise and resources to our community for anyone wanting to learn more about Parkinson’s disease. If someone is living with Parkinson’s, caring for someone with Parkinson’s, or someone just wants to learn more, they are welcome. This event is open to the public and will be at the Monroe Convention Center

National and local experts come together to help educate, provide resources, and build community and to help make the places we live, work, and play more inclusive and accessible for people living with Parkinson’s. It is possible to live well with Parkinson’s, and it takes a community to help make that happen by providing opportunities for exercise, community connection, great healthcare, and more.

Parkinson experts joining the presentation include Tobin Wingard, DPT, IU Health Sports and Wellness; Jennifer Freeman, SLP, Director of Patient Outcomes at Bloomington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital; Lora Keesling, RN, Parkinson's Disease Center of Excellence IU Health Neuroscience Center; Kim Williams, Executive Director, Indiana Parkinson Foundation/The Climb; and Marc Smith, local community member living with Parkinson's.

The resource fair will run from 9 am – 1 pm, with the presentation beginning at 10 am. This event is FREE to the public and is being held at the Monroe Convention Center.

Anyone living with Parkinson’s, anyone who is caring for someone with Parkinson’s, or anyone wanting to better understand how one can live well with Parkinson’s is welcome to attend.
