Middle Way House's The RISE! Transitional Housing is seeking assistance from volunteers to revitalize several spaces in the facility between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday, January 18. The RISE! is a program for low-income adults recovering from the impacts of violence in an effort to assist in navigating through barriers and challenges. A lack of access to safe, affordable housing is often a significant barrier to survivors of violence and is a critical factor in achieving long-term safety. Creating safe, clean, accessible, and positive spaces is at the core of all programs offered at The RISE! “Raise up the RISE!” seeks to revitalize several spaces, such as but not limited to, the community room, resource room, empty apartment units, and reception area. Interested volunteers will need to familiarize themselves with the Middle Way House program mission and be willing to lift up to 40 pounds and interact with cleaning products as they will be assisting in cleaning, organizing, and some painting during the project.
