This month Sounds From the Black Hole collaborates with Orbit Room with a lineup of experimental and psychedelic soft rock and pop. Dylan Ryan and Scott McGaughey first met as teenagers at DePaul University in Chicago, recognizing each other as having attended the same Ruins show, kindred spirits converging in the Chicago indie rock underground. GIANT DAY- Giant Day is the new project of Elephant 6 Collective veterans Derek Almstead and Emily Growden. Both longtime partners and established musicians, they’ve worked, recorded and performed in Athens, Georgia for many years with multiple groups, including The Olivia Tremor Control, Circulatory System, Elf Power, The Glands, of Montreal, Faster Circuits and Marshmallow Coast to name a few.
