ABOUT

Serious bleeding can result from everyday injuries such as those that may occur at home, at work or while on the road. This free, educational program brought to you by IU Health Bloomington Hospital, represents the current “best practice” recommendations on how to manage life-threatening hemorrhage. It can make a difference between life and death, even before professional rescuers arrive. This training will teach bystanders how to stop bleeding with dressings, compression, and tourniquets. This is knowledge that is not taught in your normal basic training for first responders. This class will take place on March 31, at Monroe County YMCA Southeast, from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. Space is limited. Please contact Lesley Lopossa, BSN, RN, TCRN at 812-353-9086 to register.
