The conference brings together musicians, musical talent and lovers of music from all over the Great Lakes Region. Through meditation, music, and workshops participants get to know each other and themselves while having a great time surrounded by fantastic music. The conference is open to all interested participants. The conference keynote speaker on Friday will be Jennifer Ferren. Workshop topics that day will include the Basics of Reading Music with Phyllis Wickliff, Kirtan Chants with Sakshi Zion, The Business of Music: Passion & Prosperity with Kim-Char Meredith, Writing the Song of Your Life with Lauren Lane Powell, and Bridging the Gap with Rap with Kim Belew. Saturday's offerings will include a keynote workshop with Ferren in the morning followed by round table discussions. Afternoon workshops will be Using Improvisation in Music and Daily Life with Ed Trout and Michael Davis, Copyright Issues - Explanations and Q&A with Natalie Coffin, and The Miracle of You with Melanie Robey. All activities will be interspersed with times of meditation, musical meditation, group singing and a Saturday evening concert. The weekend culminates in an All Music Sunday during the regular 10 a.m. Sunday service at Unity of Bloomington. Unity honors the universal truths in all religions and provides a positive path for spiritual living. All are welcome. Registration includes all meals from dinner on Thursday through lunch on Sunday. The cost is $105 per person.
