Weather permitting – Masks Required - Distance Enforced Cost: Free with Museum Admission Science Story Time allows young scientists to develop literacy and STEM skills as well as build vocabulary by actively participating in the program. Activities designed for ages 3-6. All welcome. April 3: "Viva Frida" by Yuyi Morales Join us at WonderLab as read Viva Frida by Yuyi Morales. After the story about artist Frida Kahlo, we will talk about nature observations and how we make them. The WonderGarden is a perfect place for young scientists to begin becoming keen observers of nature. April 10: "A Big Mooncake for Little Star" by Grace Lin Join us at WonderLab as read A Big Mooncake for Little Star by Grace Lin. After the story we will explore Moon craters and make some ourselves. April 17: "A Voice Named Aretha" by Katheryn Russell-Brown and Laura Freeman Join us at WonderLab as we read A Voice Named Aretha by Katheryn Russell-Brown and Laura Freeman. After the story about singer Aretha Franklin, we will explore the science of sound with spoon gongs. April 24: "Where Are You, Sun Bear?" by Eun-mi Choi and Seong-bin Noh Join us at WonderLab as we read Where Are You, Sun Bear? by Eun-mi Choi and Seong-bin Noh. After the story about the Sun Bear and the Malaysian forest, we will explore shadows and what we can do with shadows.
