Classified Advertising Policies

Classifieds for Students:

All student classifieds are free if the ad is for non-commercial use, excluding housing. All classified advertising policies still apply.

Classifieds for Businesses/Non-students/Student Groups and University Departments:

Businesses, non-students, student groups and University Departments must pay for classifieds ads. Payment information is listed below.

Ad Acceptance:

All advertising is subject to approval by the IDS.

Copy Errors:

The IDS must be notified of errors by 3 p.m. on the date of your ad's first publication. The IDS is only responsible for errors published on the first insertion date. The IDS will rerun your ad for 1 day when notified by 3 p.m. on the date of the first insertion.

Content Changes:

Ad content can be changed at no additional charge when the same number of lines are maintained. If the total number of lines changes, a new ad will be started at the first day rate.

Online Placement:

All classified ads are placed for no additional charge.

Publisher's Notice:

All housing advertised is subject to the Federal Fair Housing Act which makes it illegal to advertise preference, limitations, or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin, or intention to make any such reference, limitation or discrimination. We will not accept any advertising for housing which is in violation of the law. All persons are hereby informed that ll dwellings advertised are available on an equal opportunity basis.

Payment:

All Advertising is done on a cash in advance basis unless credit has been established. The IDS accepts Visa, MasterCard, cash, check or money order.

Refunds:

If you cancel your ad before the final run date, the IDS will refund the difference in price.

Deadlines:

The Classified Line ad deadline is 3 p.m. one business day prior to publication. The Classified Display ad deadline is 5 p.m. three business days prior to publication.
