ABOUT

On August 19, 2026, from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm, the McCalla Center will host a free open house focused on IU sports. In partnership with IU Athletics and the IU Sports Memorabilia Collection, the open house will showcase the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy and provide a look at IU’s remarkable championship history via the exhibit, Outfitting IU Athletics: Hoosier Champions.

Visit McCalla to bask in IU sports history and to get ready for the exciting season to come. Guests can take photos and selfies with the CFP Championship trophy and tour McCalla’s exhibit about IU’s Big Ten and national championship teams and athletes. Objects in the exhibit include a football and jersey from the 2026 Rose Bowl Game, the first ever NCAA championship trophy for Cross Country, Kyle Schwarber’s baseball bat from the 2013 College World Series, Steve Alford’s shoes from the 1987 men’s basketball championship season, and Lilly King’s signed swim cap from the Rio Olympic games.

The event is free and open to the public. We encourage those interested in attending to RSVP, though it is not required.
