ABOUT

The Chocolate Walk on Nov. 14 is the Brown County Humane Society's annual fundraising event in which attendees stroll the shops of Nashville, Indiana while collecting over 30 pieces of chocolate along the way. This event has sold out the past several years with 1,250 people in attendance. Volunteers will be located at each participating shop to mark off the attendees' tickets and ensure they collect their chocolate. This event raised over $30,000 annually that goes toward the operation of the shelter. That equals roughly one month of Animal Shelter operating cost. The Chocolate Walk also brings business to local shops in Nashville during a time when traffic is not normally high. It is a great benefit to both the BCHS and our community. Come volunteer for the animals! Shifts are available on Nov. 14 between 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 1-5:30 p.m. Sign up before Nov. 6! Minimum age is 15. Contact Megan Gushwa at volunteer@bchumane.org or 812-988-7362.
