The Sinkhole Craft Beer Bar in Bloomington is excited to host Garden Smash & Community Fest. Two local chefs are teaming up to deliver the ultimate smash burger experience, featuring ingredients sourced from local farms. Indulge in a mouthwatering menu showcasing the Ultimate Smash Burger with creative toppings like grilled peaches and arugula, a unique burger dusted with Brown County Coffee and paired with grilled figs or the "Plain-Jane" burger designed to simply highlight our own local ruby-red tomatoes paired with Duke's mayonnaise. The full menu will be revealed on The Sinkhole's Facebook page on the evening before the event.
2:00 PM: Free Gardening Activities (Ages 5–13 with parent/guardian) – Paint and plant 100 donated pots and plants from Mays Greenhouse (soil included) to create gifts for teachers, parents, or keepsakes. 4:30 PM: Frog Jumping Competition (All ages, register by 4:15 PM by frog size class) – Bring your frog in a safe, aerated container. 5:00 PM: Hackey Sack Competition (All ages) – Show off your skills! 6:00 PM: Live Music by American Pirates (Folk & Experimental Jazz) – Groove to soulful tunes. 7:00 PM: Spoken Nerd (DIY Hip-Hop from Nashville, TN) – Catch a high-energy performance. Bring blankets and chairs for a day of food, music, and community fun!
This event is a collaboration between Slop Shop food truck and the folks at All Creatures Yum! who brought us the Cicada Mania festival in 2021.
