The Salvation Army, along with local partners, including Sherwood Oaks Christian Church and First United Methodist Church, are hosting their annual school supply distribution for Monroe County Kindergarten to 12th grade students. Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, July 31st to help greet and assist Monroe County Backpack Blitz participants select their backpack and school supplies. The last shift will require some packing, organizing and moving of left over equipment. Three shifts are available, 7:30 to 9:30am, 9:30 to 11:30am, and 11:30am to 1:30pm.
