Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding independently-owned record shops in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally. The first Record Store Day took place on April 19, 2008. Today, RSD is celebrated at thousands of independently-owned brick-and-mortar record stores around the world.
About RSD: https://recordstoreday.com/CustomPage/614
This is a day for the people who make up the world of the record store— the staff, the customers, and the artists— to come together and celebrate the unique culture of a record store and the special role they play in their local communities. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day. The list of titles continues to grow and includes a wide range of artists, covering the diverse taste of record stores and their customers.

Locally, Record Store Day is about way more than just the exclusive releases that are issued on the day. Its also about celebrating the culture at record stores and the local scenes they exist within. That's why Landlocked has programmed in countless live acts, DJs, and like-minded individuals into our shindigs year after year, since its inception.
2025 is no exception - Doors open at 8AM to sell the Exclusive RSD records and CDs. Then, roll thru again and catch some free live music!
